The session will be led by Alette Vonk, owner of Cultural Insights, an experienced intercultural management consultant with over 30 years of experience working across Europe and Africa. 

 

About Cultural Insights / Alette Vonk:

Alette Vonk is a freelance consultant intercultural management and change facilitation. She is the chair of the Cooperative Cultural Insights and one of the Friends of Hofstede, a network that is internationally known for in depth cultural consultancy. She is also a lecturer Intercultural Management at the University of Leiden. 

In the past thirty years, Vonk has given training and managed change processes of teams, companies, and communities. Coming from the Netherlands herself, she lived and worked in Ghana for five years, and another five years in Benin, Cameroon, and Botswana. Her clients range from small to large companies, development agencies, non-governmental and government organizations. Vonk is the co-author of the book: ‘Cultural Confluence in organizational change: A Portuguese venture in Angola’ (Springer, 2024). 

Vonk holds an MSc. in Development Sociology and Practitioner's certificates in Intercultural Management (ICM); Organizational Culture (OC); Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Organizational Development (OD).
